L'August, an 18-year-old rapper from Toulouse and a newcomer to the French scene, is astonishingly mature for his age. His texts combine literary erudition with muffled violence. He defines himself as: "Nonviolent boy with inappropriate remarks". The uniqueness of L'August does not, however, deny the influence of  Orelsan, Columbine, Lomepal, Youssoupha ... The interpretation, often in one take, acquired in theater lessons (which he takes and gives) and his ease suggests that he has everything to become a grown-up. On the artistic side, he surrounds himself with producer Jen Jis (producer of Ofenbach and Feder) who also performs all the mixes of his songs.
